Key Responsibilities
As an intern, you will work within a multidisciplinary team contributing to research, policy development, and field implementation. Typical responsibilities include:
- Conducting desk research and literature reviews on supply chain governance, labour rights, trade preferences, and labour market trends.
- Collecting, organizing, and analyzing both quantitative and qualitative data to support evidence-based decision-making.
- Drafting policy briefs, concept notes, and communication materials that shape programme strategies.
- Supporting the organization of stakeholder workshops and documenting key outcomes.
- Assisting in monitoring, reporting, and learning from pilot initiatives and field activities.

Who Can Apply
Education Requirements:
Applicants should be in their final year of graduate studies or have completed a graduate degree within the past year. Relevant fields include Development Studies, International Relations, Public Policy, Economics, Labour Studies, Business Administration, or Supply Chain Management.
Skills and Experience:
- Demonstrated interest in labour rights, sustainable supply chains, responsible business practices, or inclusive economic development.
- Experience with research, policy analysis, data collection, or project support through academic work or prior internships.
- Familiarity with Bangladesh or similar Least Developed Country contexts is considered a plus.
Languages and Competencies:
- Proficiency in English and Bangla, both written and spoken.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in multicultural teams and manage multiple tasks under deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and collaborative tools. Experience with infographics or communications software is an added advantage.
Benefits and Conditions
- Stipend: Interns receive a monthly stipend based on the cost of living in Dhaka. If another institution covers part of the stipend, ILO will top it up to meet the standard rate.
- Insurance: Interns are required to have their own medical and accident insurance for the duration of the internship.
- Eligibility: This must be your first internship with ILO, and applicants must not have close relatives working for the organization.
