UNICEF Remote Writing Job: Become an International Consultant (Editor/Writer) and Work from Home Apply by 2025

If you’re a professional writer or editor with a passion for international development, here’s a career-changing opportunity: UNICEF Guinea is hiring a home-based International Consultant (Writer/Editor) to support its 2025 Annual Reporting process.
This isn’t just another remote writing gig — it’s a mission-driven consultancy where your words will help shape global narratives about children, communities, and development progress.
A Unique Opportunity with Purpose
This consultancy spans 47 working days and is fully home-based, offering you the flexibility to work from anywhere while contributing to one of the world’s leading humanitarian organizations.
Your core mission? To write, edit, and produce high-quality reports and summaries that reflect UNICEF Guinea’s progress in 2025 — both for internal use and for a broader public audience. You’ll be collaborating with internal teams, including the Deputy Representative and the Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation section, to gather content, refine messages, and ensure consistency across reporting.
Whether you’re an editor who thrives on clarity or a writer who knows how to transform complex data into compelling narratives, this role puts your skills to real, global use.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
As the designated Writer/Editor Consultant, your role is essential in supporting transparency, accountability, and visibility for UNICEF’s work. Key tasks include:
- Writing the full Country Office Annual Report: aligning with UNICEF’s 2025 report guidelines and editorial standards.
- Editing inputs from technical teams: improving structure, language, and alignment with UNICEF’s style and tone.
- Creating a concise, public-facing summary: this report must be engaging and readable for donors, stakeholders, and the general public, without compromising on data accuracy.
- Cross-checking and fact-verifying data: ensuring the consistency of statistics, program results, and narrative flow.
- Final proofreading: eliminating errors, refining formatting, and preparing both internal and external versions of the report.
