Role Overview: Project Procurement Officer (P-3)
As a Project Procurement Officer, you’ll lead procurement strategy and compliance across IFAD’s country programmes in the region. Your work will strengthen procurement frameworks, enhance transparency, and ensure that projects deliver maximum value for rural communities.
You will collaborate with country teams, advise senior stakeholders, and provide strategic oversight to ensure procurement excellence throughout project design and implementation.

- Strategic Procurement Oversight – Ensure project procurement activities align with IFAD guidelines and policies.
- Policy Leadership – Provide guidance, draft procurement documents, and support investigations and reviews.
- Project Support – Embed procurement requirements into project design and implementation for maximum impact.
- Performance Monitoring – Analyze procurement portfolios, identify risks, and propose solutions.
- Capacity Building – Train country teams and build procurement knowledge across IFAD’s network.
- Partnership Engagement – Foster dialogue with governments, international organizations, and stakeholders to drive procurement reforms.

🎓 Qualifications & Experience
To be a successful candidate, you should have:
- Advanced University Degree in business administration, public administration, law, commerce, finance, or related fields (from an accredited institution).
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in project procurement, including complex procurement programmes and relevant field experience.
- Languages: English (Excellent); French, Arabic, or Spanish (Desirable).
- Strong skills in procurement policies, contract management, risk assessment, and stakeholder engagement.
- Proven ability to work in diverse, international environments with integrity and professionalism.
